Nandi Yantoro, the Coordinator, said the construction is aimed to replace existing pipe channel.

"The channel depth will be 45 centimeters with 40 meters of lenght," he added.
Meanwhile, RW 10 Head, Epriyanto, admitted the area was often inundated during heavy rain. That is why new channel is needed.
"I sent report since early January. A week later, there was personnel checked the location. Now the construction is already running," he stated.
He thanked and appreciated the North Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency for responding the report fast.
"It is hoped the channel will eliminate inundation. We also appeal local resident to take care the channel well," he closed.
